Loco Moto

So, I’m a wee bit obsessed with the moto. And by “wee bit”, I mean I’ve ordered 3 shown here plus another ASOS leather one. The moto jacket gets me. If I had to define my signature outerwear style, ┬áIt’d definitely be the moto. It dresses up and down in such a great way and lends a bit of edge to outfits. And we have Irving Schott to thank for such a versatile, iconic piece.
The moto jacket debuted in 1928 at the Harley Davidson store in New York City. The Perfecto, named for Schott’s favorite cigar, became the symbol for rebellion and ruffian-ism. And now, 85 years later, it’s a wardrobe staple. It’s a little bad, but in an oh-so-good way.
